Haha, very nice! I like how the dog is rendered. I think the treasure box could have been done better. But overall, it looks great!
thank you! yeah it kinda looks out of place. i tried fixing it but i messed up the layers so i couldn't add surrounding dirt and what not to make it seem like it was really there in the ground and buried. the best thing to do is to learn from your mistakes though!

I think the best way to work on your own style is to emulate the style of different artists that really inspire you. In figuring out why they make the choices they make, you can slowly pick and choose what appeals to you and further develop just those things into a whole new style that is your very own.
